You can now connect your iOS device directly to your mixing system. Two turntables and an iPhone - Bypasses the need for laptops, computers, or hard-drives in the DJ boothĭJs can now connect their iOS device directly to their mixing system, optimized user interface automatically adapts when DJ hardware is connected This drives the patented Neural MixTM technology running on Mac, iPad, or iPhone, using cutting-edge artificial intelligence to separate any song into its original components in real-time.Īllows full control of djay on iOS devices via professional analogue turntables using special time code vinyl This feature is powered by an enhanced DVS control tone exclusive to djay Pro AI which has a unique control data stream imprinted into the grooves of each of the three distinct sections of the vinyl. Users can simply drop the needle of the analogue turntable onto one of three distinct tracks on the physical record to play either the original song, its instrumental version, or the acapella - just like on a 12" single from back in the day. This goes a long towards Rekordbox and Serato becoming ever more favorable for me.Algoriddim revolutionizes DJing with world's first AI based Digital Vinyl System (DVS) for mobile devicesĪlso being introduced for the first time, new patent-pending Neural MixTM Vinyl pushes the boundary of DVS technology, offering isolated stems for any song right on the B-side of the control vinyl. Case and point, my Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 came with top-level support for Serato out of the box and last I checked (sometime in February IIRC) there was still no official hardware mapping for Djay. My secondary issue with it (which I guess is not really the "fault" of the software) is that it just doesn't get the same 1st class hardware support as Serato. As crude as I find Rekordbox in comparison to Djay, I can overlook a lot of that if offers richer set sync experiences with mobile devices. It's something people have been asking for from Algoriddm for years and they need to stay on their toes because Rekordbox is getting a competing mobile app and I wouldn't be surprised if it can sync sets over dropbox. I love being able to DJ through my iPad but I prefer to prepare sets on my Mac and unfortunately sets are local to the device they're created on (as far as I'm aware). That being said, my main issue with it is it doesn't sync playlists across devices which is incredibly frustrating. It has an incredibly polished user interface, was the first to feature stems among Virtual DJ and Serato, has been way ahead of the competition with scaling to mobile devices (you can even interact with your mixes via an Apple Watch) and like you mentioned works with a lot of controllers.
